Privacy Policy
Last updated August 23, 2026
This policy explains what Ava Data, LLC ("Ava Data," "we," "us") collects when you visit avadata.ai or use an Ava Data account, why we collect it, and what you can ask us to do about it.
1. Information we collect
Information you give us. When you create an account we collect your name, email address, and password. Payment is processed by our payment provider; we receive confirmation of a transaction and limited card metadata such as the last four digits and expiry, and we never receive or store your full card number. If you email us, we keep the message and our reply.
Information collected automatically. Like most websites, we log IP address, browser and device type, referring page, and the pages you view, along with cookies and similar identifiers described in section 3.
Information you submit to the platform. When you upload a list or run a search, we process the records you submit and the results returned to you, so that we can deliver the service and bill for it accurately.
2. How we use it
- To provide the service — running searches, returning results, and maintaining your account.
- To bill you and to keep an accurate record of credits used.
- To provide support and respond to what you write to us.
- To secure the service — detecting abuse, fraud, automated scraping, and violations of the Terms of Service.
- To improve the product and understand which pages and features are actually used.
- To send service messages. Marketing email is separate, and every marketing message has an unsubscribe link.
- To comply with legal obligations and to establish or defend legal claims.
3. Cookies and analytics
This site loads two third-party scripts, and no others:
- Google Analytics 4 — measures site usage in aggregate (pages viewed, traffic source, whether a visit led to a signup). Google publishes its own privacy policy. You can block it with the Google Analytics opt-out add-on.
- Rewardful — attributes signups to the affiliate who referred them, so affiliates are paid correctly. It reads a referral code from the link you arrived on.
We also set cookies that are strictly necessary to keep you signed in. Blocking those will break the app. Most browsers let you refuse or delete cookies in their settings.
4. When we disclose information
We do not sell your account information. We disclose information only in these situations:
- Service providers who run parts of the service on our behalf — hosting, payment processing, email delivery, analytics, and the data sources that return skip tracing results. They may use it only to perform that work for us.
- Legal requirements — when we reasonably believe disclosure is required by law, subpoena, or court order, or is necessary to protect someone's rights or safety.
- Business transfer — if the business is acquired or merged, information may transfer with it, subject to this policy.
5. Retention
We keep account information for as long as the account is open and afterwards only as long as needed for the purposes in section 2 — chiefly billing records, tax and accounting obligations, and resolving disputes. When information is no longer needed for any of those, we delete it or de-identify it.
6. Security
Access to personal information is restricted to people who need it to do their job, traffic to the site and app is encrypted in transit, and payment card details are handled by our payment provider rather than by us. No system is perfectly secure, and we don't claim otherwise — if you believe your account has been compromised, email support@avadata.ai immediately.
7. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to request access to the personal information we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to receive a copy in a portable format, to opt out of certain uses, and not to be discriminated against for exercising any of these rights. California residents have these rights under the CCPA/CPRA.
To make a request, email support@avadata.ai with enough detail for us to locate the information — the email address on the account, or for a request about records returned by the platform, the name and address the record relates to. We verify requests before acting on them, which may mean asking you for information that confirms you are who you say you are. You may use an authorised agent.
8. If your information appears in search results
Ava Data provides property and contact data to business customers. If you are not an Ava Data customer but believe your personal information is available through the platform, you can make the same access, correction, deletion, and opt-out requests described in section 7 by emailing support@avadata.ai. Tell us the name, address, and any phone number the request relates to so we can find the right records.
Ava Data is not a consumer reporting agency, and the data it provides is not a consumer report under the Fair Credit Reporting Act. It may not be used to determine eligibility for credit, insurance, employment, or housing, or for any other FCRA-regulated purpose. See the Terms of Service.
9. Children
The service is for business use and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from them; if we learn we have, we delete it.
10. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy we update the date at the top of this page, and for material changes we notify account holders by email or in the app before the change takes effect.
11. Contact
Privacy questions and requests: support@avadata.ai. Other ways to reach us are on the contact page.
